You are an infinite being. As an infinite being you have all states of being inside you from which to choose. This attunement was inspired by the ever increasing number of articles circulating online about Ascension symptoms and how to address them. What's going on here?

I feel people's energies acutely , sometimes to the point of just being overwhelmed . So there's that. I have always felt that I needed to be with a person whose energy was really light and airy or I would feel weighted down by them. Other people's emotional baggage feels really heavy to me.
I have some of my own emotional baggage to deal with too of course so I do and I feel pretty light these days in general.
I was talking to an energy worker and she was saying that in her experience Tibetian monks has a kind of lightness that must come from meditation. I really want to learn about different energy styles and how to relate to different people with different styles well. I almost can't stand lots of repressed anger and denseness around me . I work with people who have I'd say denser energies but that's work and somehow that's ok. Whereas someone in my home space or heart space would need to be fairly clear ( I don't know if I have the words to explain this stuff, if you get it please explain it to me).
I am very attracted to energy work as a therapist. I want to get to the core of someone's energy field and work from there.

Does anyone else feel that with other people, that if they are with someone who is really dense it feels heavy. Are there just fewer really clear people? I associate clearness with positivity and some faith in humanity ( like Barrack) I associate heaviness with emotional baggage unprocessed and unresolved anger. I remember something by Ester-hicks I think about how energies can't come into our lives unless we allow it. I recently had two teachers whose energies were really disturbing to my system so I know that stuff is still there in me, but also I notice it as the kind of heaviness I used to have all the time and don't have but occasionally anymore and I could displace it from my energy quicker than before.
What do you think? Vibrationally, people with the highest of vibrations, are they able to live and work well with all energies? Do they prefer certainly similar energies?
What do you make of me wanting to be around really clear people and feeling yucky being around the underneath anger other denseness?
What do you make of any of this?

I am all for being open to experience enlightenment... I study qigong, shamanism, yoga etc.

Recently a few friends and I decided to get a Deeksha blessing. For all accounts it sounded like a great thing. A guru opens you to enlightenment literally puts his/her hands on your head and help you brain function in the same pattern as enlightened people. That through this you would obtain bliss and clarity.

THIS ENED UP BEING ONE OF THE MOST HARMFUL ENERGENTIC EXPERIENCES I HAVE HAD.

I went to the deeksha blessing and felt a strange energy which I ignored. I listened to the description from the deeksha... They started saying this was the ONLY true way to attain enlightenment... (That was a red flag) Then they followed it with saying that this would only enhance the other practices you do.... I felt like I should go but just couldn’t get up. My friend asked is there any negative side effect... they said no... Unless pure bliss could be considered negative. They just seemed to coming form a place of longing... Like they wanted so badly to be enlightened but were not there. Why I ignored my feelings and stayed... I will never know... I wish i had left.

They started the ceremony. Each deeksha cam and put there hands on my head. and drove energy into my crown chakra. I was open but felt like I might need to reflect their energy back. My friend felt the need to start saying prayers of protection. It ended with them thanking us for our heads!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They got strangely high from taking our pure energy!

After the Deeksha I felt a surge of sorrow, frustration and longing. I was completely disconnected from myself and my own divine energy. Through out the week the longing and fear began to sink in. I felt as thought my crown and heart chakra were blocked. (I usually have very open chakras) I touched base with my friend who had the ceremony and they were having this same experience. This deep fear and sorrow was taking over.... it was affecting all of us the same way.... Also I was Exhausted!!!!

I went to my qigong master, I briefly explained my experience. She helped me by doing a qigong practice that was geared at releasing this energy. She scanned me and saw major blockages in my heart and mostly on my crown..... She said the energy seemed to have come from a place of emotional longing not clear consciousness. After the practice I felt better like the energy was diffused but not gone. I searched the website and found many negative experiences... and the website I mentioned above talked about clairvoyants and Ammachi speaking out against this movement.

I talk to my friends and they were both suffering... Later in the week I took them all to my qigong master and we explained our experience in depth... The experience concerned my qigong master... NO ONE SHOULD EVER MESS WITH YOU CROWN CHAKRA! She helped us through a very powerful qigong exercise, which was able to truly clear the energy from our heads. We all felt better. I feel I am almost healed from this experience.... My friends are feeling much better as well. The qigong helped immensely....Still I feel a little of their energy trying to hold on... I won’t let it... My friends are doing better but still haveing to fight it. The Qigong is really helping. I think accupunture may help as well.

Ammachi's diksha comments

"Last November Ammachi (the hugging saint), who never says anything negative about other teachers, gurus, said the 21 day claim and other information and actions by A&B were not to be believed, and even dangerous. She said she had to "rewire" someone who had taken the dikshas. I was shocked that she announced so strongly about this. From then on, I let it go.

Another clairvoyant writes....

"It comes down to the acknowledgement that the whole chakra-system is blocked by it. First the diksha shuts off the crown-chakra. That causes loss of your inner connection with your higher self. You get a feeling as if you are a witness, but instead there comes a kind of lameness in you, a dangerous distance from feelings, including a shut down of your heart-chakra.

Second: your ego is covered, not dissolved. In that place a so called 'spiritual ego' comes in. That causes you to surrender to the 'works' of A&B. You become an instrument for their movement. An artificial oneness-feeling is created, which shuts you off from all that had your interest before. You have lost the connection with your own inner source, with who you really are. You body is only an empty vessel for A&B. It is not light that comes in you, but darkness.

That's what these women discovered. Maybe you recognize this? The danger is that since one gets a diksha, one can be reached by distance-diskhas, even involuntarily. In order to get out of this system, especially for a person like you, who was so much involved, one needs to disconnect completely on an energetic level.

According to several people who have been to India, the so called Bhagavan has also in various ways implied the following: We human beings are just septic tanks, filled with garbage. We have to be emptied of the garbage, through deekshas, so that "enlightened beings" can step in and take over our bodies."

I'm looking for something or someone specific. I want to learn Kundalini yoga, I think now is a perfect time for me to do that. I also would love to tie it into my learning to become a psycho-therapist and my own practice of mediation. I am always looking to connect the dots.
Does anyone know of a person ( maybe a funny, fearless women or a sensual, gentle man or any combination thereof) who I could consult with. I really would like to have a conversation about energy and psychology and whatnot and how Kundalini may help me and my clients in that area. The large pciture is to have a relationship other therapist/ body workers who can compliment me and my client's psycho-therapy work.

To simplify the complexity of the
controversy, I will give this example. Bill
Moyers of the Public Broadcasting System
did a show named Trade Secrets and has
created a web page of the same name
(26). There is to much documentation
there to list, in regard to "industry"
covering up the damage to OUR HEALTH
from toxic chemicals, for over fifty years

Bill Moyers was tested for over 800 toxic
chemicals and over 80 chemicals (at

Camp Mandalay of the Bohemian Grove
might very well have "inside knowledge" that
other members of the Bohemian Grove are not
aware of.

Many camps in the Bohemian Grove contain very
prestigious visitors. You have camps like Cave Man,
Hideaway, Hill Billies, Hillside, Isle of Aves, Lost
Angels, Mandalay, Midway, Owl's Nest,
Sempervirens, Silverado Squatters, and Stowaway.
Mandalay seems to be the camp for international
relations and consists of many members officially or
otherwise connected to the intelligence agencies.
Mandalay is the only camp you cannot just walk into
and before you are allowed on the compound
someone will ask you who you have an appointment
with. If you're cleared for access, you are taken up the
hill with a Bechtel-designed electric pulley. Many
members of camps like Hill Billies or Stowaway
(Rockefellers and Morgans) have been to Mandalay at
one time or another.

It is believed that camp Mandalay was central to
the "Manhattan Project" (the nuclear bomb),
"Project Paper Clip" (that gave Nazi scientists
new identities and continued their research on
American's) and a host of other well document
experiments on hundreds of American cities.

I am all for telling the other members of the
Bohemian Grove what camp Mandalay has been
up to with the Non-Lethal Biological
Weapons known as Incapacitating Agents,
playing a part in Chronic Illnesses and cancers.

When it comes to the effects of toxic chemicals on our gonads
and or our sex drive, there appears to be a cover up and
a conspiracy. Unfortunately, it is much worse than that. After
careful investigation, it seems to me that the circumstance are
due more to incompetence and greed.

This membership list of the Bohemian Grove does list
some of the deceased and their causes of death. Such as
John Du Pont (now deceased) of whom was diagnosed as
"insane". He was heir to the Du Pont chemical empire.
Ralph Bailey was a member of Camp Mandalay and Vice-Chairman
of Du Pont Chemical Company. John Du Pont (heir to the Du Pont
fortune) was a member of the "Isle of Aves" Camp.
John Du Pont was not a member of the Mandalay Camp.

I'll get back to that angle, after I clarify a few points....... Maybe
you could ask Mary Moore and Peter Phillips what they think about this ?

The elite of our society (The Bohemian Grove
crowd) can get caught up and effected by this "Toxic Lotto", too.
Only they have the money (cash) or a different type of health
insurance, that enables them to get properly evaluated at
clinics like the
Environmental Health Center-Dallas

I'll clarify a key point. A peer reviewed medical
journal has shown that the majority of mental
illness is due to toxic chemical exposures
and is not as genetic as they had thought.

The healing council has formed and our vision is materializing. This message is for you who are called to hold space with us. To be of service to the immediate community Redlightning, as well as to the community of BRC and beyond.

Are you interested in co-creating and activating a harmonic resonance for vitality, health, life and transformational work? Are you who we are dreaming in, to collectively hold down this space on the playa?

The intention is to offer a variety of healing modalities ie: DNA activations, oracles, light workers, massage, healing touch, yoga, sound healing… you name it, to those going through their processes within the vibrations of the divine feminine and sacred masculine, uniting at the vesica piscis.

We will be working out of two domes within the Redlightning. The first will be a facilitated healing space with tables for active process with a center altar for prayer and connecting to the vortex of the 7th dimension. The second dome will be a community wellness sanctuary for group work ie: breath work, sound healing, guided meditation, talks on blood mysteries... Between workshops, it will be a contemplative/retreat space for people to meditate or rest and receive the vibrations that we as a collective activate and hold throughout the week.

We will also be working in tandem with the tender-hart guardians and invite you to consider offering your services as a guardian of the healing domes and the healers as well.

I need help with using my energy....

I need help using my energy better. I have a lot of energy. I feel a heart-fullness that is great and sometimes makes me want to cry. It's like I'm in love but with everything. Mostly I want people to share it with who are likewise in love with everything. If you know of any energy healers, shamans, etc... I think I am ready for thier services and guidance. Write me.

"I was at Agape this morning and I recognized this feeling. It's has to do with vibration and high vibrations around and within me. I feel it as a warmth, it feels like I am swiming in warm water ( but I'n not really), sometimes there is a feeling of slowness like I am walking through molases. There is a reaction of me not wanting it to stop but it's there for a fairly long time. I experience this several times a week lately. I experiences it with my therapist . I experience it while dancing sometimes. I did feel some of it during mediation ( but not as much as with Agape). It's really great and I'm glad to have a lot of it these days. It waxes and wains . But somehow I know I will find it again, ( like with my therapy apoinment and agape) . Does anyone know what it is? Or why it's there? ( maybe the why is not important) . I see it as a good sign on my path. What do you think? "

White Dakini Drub Chen. For the first time in the West a Drub Chen (Great Accomplishment Ceremony) of the White Dakini ( White Goddess ) practice from Do Khyentse’s Dzinpa Rangdröl (Self-Liberation from Fixation) treasure cycle will be performed. This lineage comes directly from Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche to Tulku Sang ngag who will be the Vajra Master at the Drub Chen.

We will experience a traditional empowerment given by Tulku Sang ngag, and we will be lead through an in depth process of learning and practicing the White Dakini mandala. This White Dakini practice is the union of Machig Labdron and Yeshe Tsogyel surrounded by the dakinis of the five families. During the retreat, in addition to the precious teachings from Tulku Sang gnag, Lama Tsultrim will help frame the experience through discussion and further teachings.

The White Dakini practice will be established as a key practice at Tara Mandala and links directly to Machig through Yeshe Tsogyel, her previous incarnation. Trust is the key

What keeps us from moving into a deep and profound peace is our lack of
TRUST. Trust is the key to liberation.

For those on a spiritual or religious path, the idea that a
higher power is in charge of your existence is not a new concept.
So why then are you questioning your journey? Why are you second
guessing your life? Having faith or belief is simply not
enough. Trust is absolute. One's faith can be tested. Your
beliefs can be challenged. Trust comes from the heart and is
rooted in a deeper level of consciousness. It comes from a
profound place of knowing that you are divine and that your life
is happening in divine order. In any moment of frustration,
agony, sadness or fear you can bring trust into your experience
and expand your consciousness. For example when you are
frustrated that life isn't going the way you think it should,
instead of continuing on this destructive path of frustration,
simply breathe and acknowledge that every experience is unfolding
in divine order. In consciously doing this practice, the stress,
the worry and the fear will dissipate. Complete trust allows you
to simply enjoy the ride of your life knowing that with the
Divine in charge you couldn't ask for a better driver.

Jesus, Buddha and Krishna lived a life of complete and total
trust. Trust has the ability to propel you into complete
realization and opens you up to a life filled with peace and
authentic surrender. Trust removes the worry and fear from life
and brings absolute clarity. Practice the principle of trust.
As you do you will witness your life transform before your eyes.
Allow the Divine to lead as you relinquish control. Follow
lovingly the path that unfolds before you. This is the path to
your freedom and the map to your road home. Trust your Self.
You know more than you think you do. In the presence of the
light, nothing but the light can exist.

Avalokitesvara is a primary and pre-eminent deity and practice for Buddhists worldwide. Avalokitesvara is the renowned deity of "Liberating Compassion", known in many parts of the Far East as Kuan Yin ( China ), Kwannon ( Japan ), Kwan Seeum ( Korea ), Kwan Theum Botat ( Viet Nam ), etc. This is a major practice for both general Mahayana ( Great Way ) Buddhists and also for esoteric / yogic ( tantric ) Buddhists, and thus unites and helps all schools of Buddhist practice in many different cultural contexts, both Asian and Western.

This is a most well known and quite universally practised pagan / polytheistic deity yoga of Sanskrit origin, Hindu or Buddhist. For example, it has become incorporated into some Hindu practice lineages, such as that of Swami Nikhilesvarananda. It is very similar to or overlaps the practice of Blue Throated Siva, as shown in one of the mantras for Blue Throated Avalokitesvara.

The influence of Avalokitesvara is vast throughout the world, and in different Buddhist lineages. Several of my teachers are considered to be emanations of Avalokitesvara including ( the late ) HE Deshung Tulku Rinpoche ( Sakya ), HH the Seventeenth Karmapa Urgyen Trinley Dorje and the Karmapa lineage, HH the Dalai Lama and the Dalai Lama lineage, and so forth.

His Eminence Dzongsar Rinpoche ( Sakya and Nyingma lineages of Tibetan Buddhism ), who teaches worldwide, has stated that Avalokitesvara is the most broadly and most commonly practised of all Buddhist mantras worldwide. This is consistent with my experience in Japanese, Chinese, Tibetan, and Vietnamese traditions. Apparently there is a book on Avalokita practice in the Sri Lankan traditions, which are mostly Theravadin Buddhist.

The esoteric yoga traditions of Buddhist tantra are based on ritual empowerment and the practice of self-empowerment, and these include placing points of light at the Brow Cakra ( White Light ), Throat Cakra ( Red Light ), and Heart Cakra ( Blue Light ). Some forms of Avalokitesvara practice include a full kundalini yoga / psychic heat method, known in the Buddhist tradition as Completion Stage Yoga. N.B. One important example is the transmission of Red Avalokita / Vajrayogini. However, I do not know what form of Avalokita is being given by HE Mingyur Rinpoche.

Avalokitesvara is without doubt the most well known Buddhist ( or other ) esoteric spiritual practice in the West ( either as "OM MANI PADME HUM" or as the "Heart Sutra" or as other variants, see below ).
Many tens of millions of Buddhists recite daily either a Sanksrit formula for Avalokitesvara or a meditation text associated with this deity, as in (1) and (2) following.

1) One of the root mantras ( esoteric invocations or evocations ) of Avalokitesvara is
"OM MANI PADMA HUM", which is discussed at

Healing by Spirit/Energy approaches: what they accomplish

Hard to get my topic into a short subject line! But bear with me, and thanks for clicking this thread. Here's the topic, explained so that it can welcome people who would like to share their experiences and viewpoints:

My question is: what sort(s) of healing have you noticed being accomplished with the specific energy/spiritual healing systems which you practice or with which you've come into contact in some way?

There are now numerous energy systems and spiritual approaches to healing that have been introduced to North America, England, and other English-speaking countries. My own background is with Reiki (3rd level), MPRUE (1st level), Drisana (1st level)... and I've had a few others practiced on me by healers working with completely different systems.

I have noticed healing to occur in at least several ways:

1. Emotional healing (healing of old emotional wounds or conflicts, improvement of moods, eradication of depression, more positive sense of self).

2. Healing of the energy system or personal aura (& chakras, etc).

3. Physical healing (resolution of chronic problems, infections, increased disease resistance, improved eyesight, etc).

I'm sure the above list could be elaborated, and further detailed too.

What have you noticed? What have you found to the the specific "strong suit" of particular healing methods? Do you feel you are in a position to compare one approach or healing system with another?

THE ENERGY BEHIND ENLIGHTENMENT

Most people use ten percent or less of the Brain. Through the awakening of Kundalina energy the brain can organically evolve to a higher performance. No time has been spent investigating perhaps the most powerful energy of nature. Religious experience and its root.

Kundalini is the evolutionary potency in all humans. A fundamental bioenergy. It comes from an Indian word meaning “to join the soul with the cosmic soul,” In the ancient Indian language Sanskrit it is a term referring to a coiled force or energy originating at the base of the spine, and seated near the sex organs a coiled up sleeping snake. Implies latent energy or potential to expand. Serpent Power when activated travels up the seven chakras which are the nerve centers along the spinal cord and enlightens the mind. Expanding consciousness the nirvana of Buddha. It is responsible for human evolution and all-psychic abilities genius and spiritual illumination. Kundalini is the biological way to expand the mind.

Kundalini is the “secret” behind yoga and all other esoteric psychology’s and genuine occult mysteries. A scientifically measurable biochemical essence Kundalini is the substance that is the nourishment of consciousness. It penetrates the nervous system and influences the nerves to become the instrument of higher consciousness. This subtle substance is a snake-like force that fuels the mind in order to sustain a more active state, producing an awakened Kundalini individual, Note: snakes have two hemi penises and the power to hypnotize.

Such inner power is represented by the two snakes on King Tut’s headdress and the feathered serpent of Mexico and South America, The serpent in the Garden of Eden. The upward flow of Kundalini nectar (prana force, bioplasmic stream) is concentrated in the reproductive fluids of both men and women. When Kundalini is activated a reverse action takes place, feeding the center of the brain. “cavity of Brahma” in the brain’s ventricular cavity. Kundalini is the power that controls it. All great saints’’ mystics’ poets and people of genius, as well as the insane were influenced in this way.

If an experiment were performed it would prove the existence of the Kundalini force and show its physiological effects on the body. It could bridge the gap between science and mysticism and show the essential truth of religious experience and tradition. Religion has always been a companion of humanity. Religion came to guide humanity. No scientist could doubt the reality of this phenomenon once it has been observed and measured.. Such an experiment would uncover the vale of darkness and delusion under which humanity has been living. This evolutionary force needs publicity and actual proof would provide it. The results will speak for themselves. It will be a discovery more important than anything that has preceded it.

It is only from an awakened perspective that such observation can be made and this potential lies within everyone. As humanity evolved from cave men to the United Nations it becomes inevitable that this discovery will come to light and that there is indeed a purpose. A planned creation to our being. God protects our blue-green planet earth from the inferno of intergalactic space. Why? Because humanity has to attain to other states of consciousness for which all these recourses are needed to do this. We have been granted an intelligence to make the best use of it.

Life’s purpose and evolution’s power lead to cosmic laws, which must be obeyed for nature’s divine grace within us all to come to light. These laws as spoken of in all religions occult and mystical beliefs describe a path to enlightenment. As great empires have come and gone, so too must humanity’s faiths change.

My teacher, the late Pundit Gopi Krishna, an Indian Yogi-scientist and world renowned expert of Kundalini who has written over twenty books on the subject states, “We all know what happened whenever a political system became despotic and oppressive, a social system exacting and corrupt, and a religious system excessively authoritarian and dogmatic. There arose a demand for revision and reform. Political revolutionaries, reformers and prophets appeared on the scene, The old system was overthrown often with dreadful bloodshed, suffering and pain and a new one installed in its place. We have to cooperate with inner evolution.”

What is needed for a more positive harmonic peaceful and prosperous existence is a fuller understanding of humanity’s need for god. As society accelerates the brain must work increasingly beyond the point of balance. We are giants of intellect and dwarfs of the spiritual. We give no time to the spirit. Bringing on grave consequences. Gopi Krishna says. “ We have given too much emphasis to the material side of life at the cost of the spiritual side.” Time must be set aside for prayer, meditation, yoga or some other spiritual act in order to keep life’s evolutionary needs in balance and maintain inner sanity. Yoga meditation provides a channel for the opening of a powerful energy (inspiration) which can enable anyone to blossom into a genius, an artist, a poet, a mystic.

If this force awakens in an impure or out of balance form it can result in evil genius fanaticism delusions of grandeur, or mental illness (like manic depression and schizophrenia). There is a lot that is not understood that kundalini research will explain.

The brain is subject to the influence of countless factors connected with the life environment and the family history of an individual. When even slightly tainted or stained do to the pressure of reality or various causes such as wrong mode of life, unhealthy environment, faulty heredity, shock, frustration, repression, tension and numerous other factors. If the mind is abnormal the brain too must be a shareholder in the abnormality. There are subtle changes in some neuronic structures in the cranium. The real root of the abnormality is an impure or toxic condition of the prana. If you do not live a disciplined life then the awakening of this center can be unhealthy. A distorted vision of the same power. It means that the system is not pure and that the energy is not working in a healthy way.

There is a positive spiritual energy force within us all. Which has a physical counterpart in the human body that feeds a certain portion of the brain cavity of Brahma. This is a living electricity or intelligent energy that is needed to open the brain. The macrobiological changes and its effect can be observable and scientifically verified. Elevations of consciousness can only occur through the transformation brought by kundalini and by no other agency.

Nature shows compassion to humanity in order to help guide us safely through transgressions. God to me is a universal god that is not tied to any one organized religion. It gives us chance after chance. But when we digress off the path unhealthy results occur. We can not blame nature but ourselves. We have intelligence, we have reason, and we have learning. But if by having everything we ignore it then of course nature has no alternative except to teach us by suffering. Heaven is always merciful and all compassionate.

Great prophets, mystics, inventors, sages and people of genius have come to guide our race towards evolution’s goal. The study of the past will show the common thread within these great men and woman. Study is needed in order to educate us about how life should be led to be more in harmony with the forces of nature, which govern our life. A life of humility – love – purity - truth - moderation and compassion.

But how can we prove kundalini’s effect on the body? We can perform an experiment in a controlled environment. This experiment would take on hundred individuals with a healthy average intellect - normal typical people all with a great urge to awaken with a deep passion for spiritual matters and who are prepared to mold their lives in consort with the spiritual laws. Men and women aged twenty to thirty five. They would be put in a peaceful environment and subjected to various tests over a period of five years or more.

Scientists can observe them as the subjects try to awaken their kundalini. They will awaken to differing degrees. Tests will document the physiological changes that occur and will provide the empirical proof of what happens to the body as the kundalini force is awakened. I hypothesis that there are definitive biological differences in the blood, the cerebrospinal fluid and the composition of the brain matter in its subtle layers. Research on brain mapping. EEG ceg ces and the electricity in the body may show the kundalini force. The brain activity will be increased and its effect will be found all over the body. There will be metabolic processes, which can be measured. There will be physiological changes, which can be measured. This will convince the biologist that this change of the mind of the brain has physiological counter part. The result will start humanity towards a greater understanding of this evolutionary mechanism.

Once it is proved that the potential to awaken lies within everyone and is the most valuable asset we have, people will strive for it. The result on humanity will be comparable to the splitting of the spiritual atom. Instead of releasing a nuclear holocaust it will unleash the beginning of a utopian age, our cosmic destiny that can transform a mortal into an immortal and eternal source of happiness.

The awakening of these energies produces genius in mortal man or woman. Creativity, love and compassion emerge and pathways are opened to a future, awakened humanity. We will become the trailblazers of our own inevitable destiny. A utopian age of peace and harmony will follow. All political and spiritual processes will be developed for the highest good. Individuals will develop their “inner Sun” to the fullest during their lifetime. Kundalini research is part of an evolutionary force that compels us to look for enlightenment as an experience accessible to all. To awaken is the goal nature has set for us.

The time is right for we can use state of the art technology to study the phenomenon. We can study the common thread that lies at the root of all religion mysticism which is to guide humankind’s understanding of evolutionary change The understanding of kundalini is now becoming provable for the first time.

Sigmund Freud in fact understood that the libido is directly responsible for mental imbalances. At some point in time we will discover that all we know can be reduced to the bio-chemical. This center of the brain cavity of Brahma is still undiscovered but could be called the “third eye” or the “philosopher’s stone”. Kundalini will for the first time reveal how energy is supplied to the brain and that it is superintelligent. Freud’s concept about libido is of a psychic energy drawn from the libidinous tendencies in human beings. Which is to say the reproductive energy but only from a psychic point of view. He does not say that it has organic roots. This is what famed psychologist Wilhelm Reich emphasizes that this libido must have roots deep in the biochemical structure of the body.

The sex organs in a state of awakened kundalini produces a vast amount of fluid to feed the newly activated part of the brain. Sexual energy may well be directly connected to a mechanism that is affected by evolutionary advancement. Kundalini is the fundamental bioenergy stored primarily in the sex organs. This basic life force is normally associated with the genitals for simple continuance of the species by providing a sex drive. The tie in to the human sex drive and higher consciousness must be explored. Why do men have ejaculation while asleep or wake up with erect penises. There is a force of nature that needs physical release to be sane.

It is called the “goddess Kundalini” or “Mother Nature” because a mother’s love is similar to the bliss of higher consciousness. Woman have more feelings! Life is part of them - menstruation each month reminds them of that. Soulmates, man-woman have intercourse to prolong the race (children). Plus experience the love, kundalini evolutionary force of completion, happiness and bliss that keeps growing.

Sexual or relaxation exercises may release inner pressure of an over-taxed libido. An evolutionary super-nectar, extraordinary life force feeds the mind, a kissing food of unlimited bliss. The sublimation raising up of sex energy is the basic lever of all spiritual disciplines. But the all-inclusive nature of sex energy is a misnomer. Reproduction is but one of the aspects of the life energy of which the other theater of activity is the brain.

Humanity’s basic needs are for sex, god and a need for prayer to control our environment i.e.. hope within everyone lies the ability to awaken. Humanity needs love to balance our own unbalanced state and give us time to meditate, to control our over-taxed brain. Humanity’s sex drive may well be the only time some people relax from their hectic lifestyles. There is a need to just kick back and enjoy. Sex could be a form of deep meditation and experience between two soul mates. Loves deep blissful passion, kundalini’s purest expression an active prayer one of the most powerful forces in the universe. A positive experience that ends in an explosion of uncontrollable bliss. However for the average person, sex is not a deep meditation but is merely a physical release, a small slice of love’s true potential.

What is needed is that deep magnetism of love - a yin/yang of a universal constant. First came the big bang theory for the creation of the universe, now the love theory of creation states that the universe is a constant - always was here. That pure love magnetism, that yin/yang. Example. Trees love earth. Earth love the sky the sky loves the stars space… Love is consciousness … The universe is male and female and in love with both forces.

Suppression of sexuality out of contempt or hatred of our lower nature is an act of ignorance leading only to atrophy of the sexual system. Celibacy is contrary to nature. Since enlightenment is an evolutionary process with heredity playing an important role stamping the genera of the enlightened so that their biological gains through spiritual disciplines can be passed to their progeny. DNA research will eventually discover the consciousness gene.

Sexual energy has been represented in ancient art and statues by an erect organ. Showing the upward streaming of the reproductive essence that effects the transformation of consciousness.

In order to discover the factual evidence behind consciousness, one must first study kundalini energy and its effects. Scientific proof will free humanity to accept the fact that within everyone lies the temple of god leading to a clear realization of our own divine nature. Man’s incomprehensible inner bliss and oneness with divinity and a way of life that overpowers doing wrong or any other action that goes against this cosmic evolutionary force. The misunderstanding of kundalini has led to environmental decline that seems rooted to ultimate destruction of Planet Earth i.e. ozone layer, burning of rain forests, religious wars and terrorism, rape and murder….

It is one relationship not just to their own kundalini but also towards each other. It is the combination of the two that will lead not only to harmony but also to sharing and ultimately to progress. The appeal especially in these times is kundalini which offers hope promise. There is negative energy (i.e. ours) that can be transformed into positive communal conscience which will try to eradicate feelings of helplessness, negativity, pain and the burden of feeling isolated.

Why are people so selfish? Due to not having an understanding of kundalini. Just desperation, helplessness and power struggles which lead to hurting others and ourselves or apathy both of which have a profound effect on our history and the mood of the energy.

Our goal and objective is to create a paradise on earth. A peaceful co-existence, long lives, greater achievements and more freedom. A utopian society living by the laws uncovered by the experiment. A union with the divine is a sum total of the physical laws of the universe. We are in the process of taking the next evolutionary leap. The new century is here.

The study of what lifestyle would be best to advance ones inner potential is a task that may take eons to complete. With the help of divine grace may we free the veil that covers the eyes of the blind masses. We who have been chosen for this colossal task are the humble instruments of this evolutionary force. Hello, wonderful people!

A bit of history behind the tribe's origin:

When I joined tribe.net, I found Healing Arts tribe and became a member of it. As I looked at the description, I noticed that the tribe was geared more towards creative therapies (art, drama, music, poetry, etc.), rather than what comes to mind when I think of "healing arts" (acupuncture, massage, reiki, etc.). I think the areas can overlap, but it seemed to me that the present-day consensus regarding the definitions was in support of my feeling of discrepancy. After someone asked a question that was a true "healing arts" question, which was [correctly] directed elsewhere to be answered, I pointed out that people seeking a "healing arts" tribe may not realize they are somewhere else, that there is a discrepancy between tribe's description and its name. A discussion followed that resulted in the name change to the Creative Arts Therapies tribe. Shortly after, I created this tribe with an intent of creating a community that addressed the "healing arts" area as I wrote it in the tribe description. My hope is that this place will become a great resource for all who are interested!

It would be great if you could write a few words about yourselves and your interests. To keep the thread neatly organized, it would be great if you could reply to this post directly, rather than the "last post", whchever that may be.

My interests mainly envelop shamanism, energy healing, and transpersonal psychology. There are a few others and I pick up more of them as I journey on. I don't think there is an official title, at this moment, for what I want to do in this life, but one of my goals, other than healing people directly, is bridging spirituality and science, in order to reach out to wider population of both right and left-brain folks, who wish to make peace between the two. In general, I seek to integrate the vast pools of knowledge for the benefit of the human evolution.

It is possible to say a lot more, from the standpoints of existential psychology and Buddhist psychology alike. For the moment the basic goal is to talk about "being brave" + developing a self-dialogue, as a response to severe emotional challenges ( such as irrational violence in the world ), and as a main means of facing personal pain and existential crises in our lives.

"Everything that is conditioned passes. Be your own light."
There are good translations of the Dhammapada, the sayings of Sakyamuni Buddha. Keeping a copy at hand in a time of deep personal pain is a remarkably helpful therapy in itself. I first read and reread the Dhammapada in seventh grade, and have never outgrown it.

The teaching of Guru Sakyamuni is well established as a main way people learn to work with suffering and impermanence, so it is reasonable to mention Buddhadharma in this context, as well. It has been shown repeatedly that non-Buddhists or people with no specific religious orientation can benefit greatly from the Dhaammapada in times of emotional distress or debilitating personal disorientation. You could classify it under "transpersonal psychology" and "logotherapy", or existential psychology. It is both.

if you want to practice mindfulness - the universe will give you mind-less situations so you can become more aware...."

"At that moment I received a download from the universe....
My friend was murdered because she believed in unconditional love.... she WAS the embodiment of Unconditional Love...
so she was killed in the worst way in order for her soul to practice and forgive and unconditionally love her killer....
This was her soul lesson...
If she did - her soul would not come back to this earth plane as a human - but ascend to the next realm of Angels and Muses....
The universe always unfolds for our greatest good - to bring our souls closer to source....
The universe only gives you what you can handle.... and her soul must have been so close to pure that she could handle it....
otherwise it wouldn't have been so....

"she can do it" - I thought... she can transcend....!
I wholeheartedly believed this message - I truly believed that she was liberated from the mortal bondage of death and re-birth and that she has now gone to somewhere higher - where her love and light could do so much more profound work than on this human realm...

And instantly, that peace I had felt before vanished....

The voice said that there is no justice in this universe....
and that my friends death was just a cold, cruel, accident - it could happen to anybody - it just happened to be one of the most precious creatures on the planet....

"If this is true - if there really is no rhyme or reason - if it just happened to be wrong place - wrong time - then I am not sure I can go on...
Then this whole world is pointless.... and everything is just random....
and there is no use to try to love - to try to help - to try to heal....
if this could just "happen" - then there is no karma - no wrong or right....

Okay, I will respond on a basic level. Not as a vajrayana guru in particular, but on a simple existential level, using the pop culture vernacular.

This is from Spiderman 3:
"Whatever comes our way, whatever battle. . . we always have a choice. . .
It's the choices that makes us what we are, and we can always choose to do what's right."

Soul evolution is a choice. It is a possibility that can always be engaged. We have to be bigger than our problems. We have to live for that which is most worthwhile, not throw away our human possibilities due to small or large obstacles on the way.

Life is a journey. Go forward, go up.

The Dalai Lama says "Work for peace." Sometimes you have to fight for it, too. The fight may be primarily an internal fight for higher consciousness, it may be a fight on some outer level as well. But we all do need emotional strength, so we all have to develop that, each individually.

The point of life is learning, and growing, and becoming more aware and responsive and able.
Major setbacks and heartaches can serve as important challenges to goad us towards greater awareness and responsibility.
In the classical Mahayana Buddhist perspective, the goal ( and the path also ) is the development of Wisdom, Compassion, and Power.
Or, as is said in Sanskrit, "Jnana Karuna Bala".
These are ennobling and liberating potentials that *natively* exist within each person, but they must be developed through classical yoga sadhana.

On a more personal level, what is clearly necessary here is personal daily journaling for some period of time, some weeks or maybe months. We are all responsible for understanding ourselves and sorting ourselves out. When we can listen to and understand our own thoughts and feelings and situations, it then becomes more possible to deal with the larger world and bigger issues.

On the specific matter of violence and victimization and personal responsiblity, I have written an article on Albert Camus, which you can find at my tribe home under the picture for Albert Camus. Camus, the great French Nobel Laureate and member of the French Underground in World War 2, said that one should be neither a victim nor an executioner.

He also said,
N'attends pas le jugement final, mon ami, par ce-que il se passe chaque journee.

That means,
Do not await the "final judgement" my friend, because it takes place every day.

So I have given answer on three levels, the dharmic, the psychological, and the existential. I do all three, obviously.

More can be said, but this establishes the basics. Beyond these points, it is necessary to do a formal practice of some kind.
Please note in this regard that poor and oppressed people who have authentic spiritual discipline can show much greater personal equilibrium and emotional stamina under severe conditions than wealthy people in free countries who lack sadhana and dharma.
Freedom is in large measure an inside job.

Live for that which is highest in yourself and others. Go for light and freedom and the truly liberating human values.

Tai Chi as a healing art...

I have for years been studying Qi gong through various styles of Chinese martial arts. What I find most fascinating are the ways in which

many of the styles at advanced stages teach Dim Mak (the manipulation of someones energy by striking and injecting forcefully destructive

chi through acupuncture points to produce specific effects). I have been learning Tai Chi Dim Mak and have found that is not the highest of Tai

Chi skills, but is in fact, just the prerequisite to "Tai Chi Healing" (Healing others by injecting healing chi through these same meridians.)

I have been told there are a few clinics that offer this in the USA and that it is referred to as "Qi Gong Healing".

Are any of you practitioners of this healing art? I am very interested in more information.

excuse me, can you heal my cakras?

hi! i am durgasakti of aligning spirit massage.

i have been asked this questions i n various forms from potential clients lately.

i have been taught that reorganizing someones cakras in any way, is impossible. there are not physical things that we can manipulate. if they were, we would be in trouble! they are so subtle and belong soley to th epersons energy body, not to be manipulated or "healed" when someone touches them.

i guess i am wondering if any of my fello bodyworkers are making this claim? and i am also wondering, i am so curious, how do you respond to this question when asked.

Tickling Healing Therapy

Hi, I am new here and wanted to share my experience and ask for more insight. For the past few years I have had an awesome therapy done. I have had full body massage, reflexology, and a few other modalities performed, but nothing has compared to this. I actually heard about this from an interview with Drew Barrymore. I have had it done primarily for stress relief, but have found it has also helped with pain and allergies, I am guessing due to endorphine release and the stimulation of reflexes.
My therapist works strictly on the feet, using a variety of techniques from finger stroking, light scratching, feathers (both ends) etc. And yes, it completely overwhelmes the senses and is extremely intense. I laugh almost continuously which oddly puts me into a parasympathetic state. I am one of those people who cannot stop thinking, even during a full body massage, but this tickling technique blocks everything completely out but the sensation. When she is finished I am completely, COMPLETELY relaxed and have even fallen asleep during the five minute cool-down. It is the most awesome massage I have ever had.

I recently showed it to another massage therapist and she said over and over, "I would never have believed it!" and later told me how it got her through a following day or two of stress. She said it was the best foot massage experience she has ever had! Anyhow, this whole technique thoroughly fascinates me. ANyone else ever heard of it? If I can explain further, just ask...

always feel heat/energy build up in front of neck, inside elbows, and behind knees...why?

So I feel like I am pretty good shape, eat well, happy, etc. but i always feel a little stiffness in front of my neck, inside the elbows, and behind the knees, I also notice deeper wrinkles in these areas which I am not fond of. Could this have to do with blood circulation and energy flow? Thyroid? Are these areas stagnant blood? They alwaaays feel warmer than the rest of my body. Would love to hear others thoughts

what do you say when starting a healing session......

i am a massage therapist/energy healer..and i am trying to come up with something to say at the start of a session, that will help the person to relax, and let go of any negativity. i usually just have them take deep breathes ..but i would really like to do a bit of guided meditaion to help.

Hi Jennifer.
A simple and profound practice is "pranayama", or breath modulation.
It is used by yoga practitioners at all levels.
It requires no specific religious philosophy.

It is used for many purposes, such as psychological balance, energy balancing, mind-body co-ordination, physical workout warm-ups and warm-downs, kundalini yoga, and as a key practice in Buddhist yogas of primordial pure awareness, such as Great Perfection and Great Seal.

There are also Buddhist kung fu breath modulation practices for martial arts which are sophisticated and powerful.

There are many excellent books available on pranayama.
A basic and most useful pranayama practice is alternate nostril breathing, which is taught in many variations, among the Hindus, Sikhs, and Buddhists. In Sanskrit this is known as nadi shodhana pranayam.

As with most yoga practices, be careful regarding sensitive times such as pregnancy or illness and do not practice when the stomach is full.

A major source of teaching on pranayama is the 3H0 Sikhs and Yogi Bhajan, who brought a tremendous amount of this material to the West. Do a google search for "kundalini yoga" + pranayam + "yogi bhajan". You can get 3H0 books on kundalini yoga from Ravi Singh and Guru Rattan Khaur Khalsa.

I have and use many texts on tantra and yoga as practitioner and as guru, and pranayama is always of enormous importance in the different lineages, and in my own practice. I began doing pranayam in 1980, and on at least one occasion it has saved my life.

Another major and most useful kind of practice is Sanskrit recitation, or mantrayana.
You can find a basic description of the Vajrasattva mantra at my tribe home, under the picture for "Hundred Syllable Mantra".

The primary source for transmissions of this kind of yoga is the esoteric Buddhist tantra, known to the public under the name "Tibetan Buddhism."

I have completed ten thousand hours of mantra.

A most basic and openly available mantra for healing and developing inner spiritual connections is the Buddhist goddess mantra for Tara:

OM TARE TUTTARE TURE MA ME AYU PUNYA JNANA PUSTIM KURU SVAHA

This is for wisdom ( jnana ), long life ( ayu ), noble qualities ( punya ), and spiritual energy ( pustim ). This is a good mantra for protection, for removing obstacles, and cleansing the magnetic field.

A basic practice would be to recite this 100,000 times, and it works better with visualization, pure intention and so forth.

This summer ( 2008 ) His Holiness Phakchok Rinpoche, a primary tantric Buddhist lineage holder, is on a major tour ( see below for events ), giving tantric Buddhist transmissions and teachings in the USA, Canada, and Europe. He is a younger major teacher in the Chokling Tersar tradition of Nyingma and Dzogchen ( see below ).

This lineage derives directly from Guru Padmasambhava, a most extraordinary Indian guru and a principal cofounder of the Buddhist tradition in Tibet. Today six million or more people practice teaching deriving from from Guru Padmasambhava, in for example the Tibetan traditions such as Sakya, Kagyu and Nyingma, including some millions of East Asians ( Chinese Buddhists of esoteric Buddhist lineage ).

This is a very magical, very powerful, and very yogic style of transmission, especially in terms of the inner practices. It is well supported by many independent practice lineages, of which the Chokling Tersar Foundation is an important example both in the USA and Europe. It is well established in California and Denmark, and several major teachers of this tradition give teaching tours.

This sangha ( spiritual fellowship ) is of major importance because Chokling Tersar Foundation has a translation / publishing organization called Rangjung Yeshe. This is one of the main sources worldwide for core Nyingma and dzogchen publications. I have and use quite a few Rangjung Yeshe practice and teaching texts. They are highest quality and indispensible for all Nyingma and dzogchen practitioners in particular, and broadly useful.

One of the most important books ever published for tantric Buddhists is
"Dakini Teachings", by Padmasambhava, and this is from Rangjung Yeshe.
Another key example, from the same source, is
"Light of Wisdom", by Padmasambhava and Jamgon Kongtrul.

For a general background on dzogchen, or "primordial awareness yoga", it is well worthwhile to obtain the book
"The Crystal and the Way of Light: Sutra, Tantra and Dzogchen", written by another important master of a parallel Nyingma lineage, Chogyal Namkhai Norbu. This is about the best place to start for a book introduction to the inner teachings, but is descriptive only, and not sadhana or formal practice per se.

Esoteric Buddhist yoga ( buddhatantra ) and Great Perfection ( dzogchen awareness yoga ) depend fundamentally on transmission, and so it is necessary to see a real teacher. Without a major transmission from an authentic guru, much or most of the teaching - and all of the yoga sadhana - does not work. Therefore I take this opportunity to make an important introduction.

( Please note that I DO NOT have any authority to represent Chokling Tersar Foundation, HH Phakchok Rinpoche, or any activity associated with this line of transmission. I am simple conveying what I know in a clear and definite way, to support this lineage and those who may benefit from it. I cannot make any promises that any of what is said here, or this kind of transmission, will solve any particular problem or give any particular result. The results are very personal and individualized. )

HH Phakchok Rinpoche Tendzin Jigmey Drakpa is not yet well known to the public, but is already having a great influence in transmitting key innermost teachings of tantra and dzogchen. Therefore it is auspicious and appropriate to make known this teacher and the availability of these teachings.

The qualifications of HH Phakchok Rinpoche are vast and profound ( see below for his autobiography ). He has highest-level authorization to give primary transmissions in both the Nyingma and Kagyu lineages, and is one of the few people who has a complete cycle of Sakya School tantric empowerments.

Two years ago I received a major dzogchen empowerment from this teacher, from within the Chokling Tersar, and personally confirm that his transmission is powerful and effective, not only as a tantric blessing / psychic cleansing, but also as a functional teaching / practice transmission. He is very direct and engaging and extraordinarily generous in his teaching. He is here to teach core precepts, not just bestow blessings. That means actual, whole person practice.

HH Phakchok Rinpoche gave me his card at the one time I was able to attend his transmission, so he is willing to personally engage students in a longer term sense. At that time he did lay on those present the general but significant requirement to Do A Daily Tantric Buddhist Practice, which is in fact the requirement of Guru Padmasambhava.

A daily practice typically means mantra recitation, as well as upholding ethical precepts of the Mahayana and Tantra. ( See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bodhisattva_vows or better yet, the above book "Dakini Teachings" for teaching on outer and inner Buddhist ethics. ) A primary example of mantra discipline is Vajrasattva deity yoga, for which a short teaching is given at my tribe.net home under the Sanskrit picture for Hundred Syllable mantra.

A specific event listing for the Yangdak Heruka transmission and teaching to be given August 16, 17 & 18 follows. Orgyen Dorje Den can host at least 200 participants. This is a remarkably important group, and a "home fellowship" for me, though I have not seen them in many years. Their center teacher, Ven. Gyaltrul Rinpoche, is a great gift to the West. I have and use and recommend his books.

Basically, it is from the Eight Herukas Cycle which is associated with the Guhyagarbha Tantra, which was propagated as one of the primary practices of Guru Padmasambhava. This fully confers Vajrasattva, a key basic and continung practice, and *may* fully confer Great Perfection / Breakthrough as well ( no guarantee ).

Significant mantra teaching on the Eight Herukas is given in the remarkable book

When asked for some brief info about Yangdak Heruka, Rinpoche, translating from a text, replied the following in a phone call:
"Yangdak Heruka is the secret heart essence practice of Mahapandita Vimalamitra & Guru Padmasambhava. As a method to repair mistakes, purify broken samaya and reverse bad karma it is greater than even Vajrasattva. According to Ratna Lingpa, it is a supreme method for yogis to fulfill the root & branch samaya of vinaya, mahayana & vajrayana precepts & it will enable the practitioner to receive the 2 siddhis and have a long life. It requires accumulated merit from past lives to meet with these teachings and through practice you will see how fast the siddhis will be received. This terma is a revelation of Chogyur Lingpa--it is a short lineage--he revealed it on Guru Rinpoche Day from a Big Boulder. It is part of the Sangtik Korsum, which is a cycle of practice which also includes Vajrasattva & Vajrakilaya." This is the first time Rinpoche is giving the Yangdak Heruka empowerment in the USA.

Chokling Tersar, the New Treasures of Chokgyur Lingpa ( copyrighted )
During the ninth century, Buddhism was introduced from India into Tibet and its literature and culture has since been preserved in a way that has been unique in accuracy and truthfulness to tradition. Four decades ago, the occupation of Tibet by Communist China began an era of repression and systematic destruction of this thousand year old Buddhist culture. Shreds of this tradition reached the countries on the southern slopes of the Himalaya ranges - India, Nepal and Bhutan - in the hands of the few refugees who managed to escape alive. During the following years these areas have been the meeting-point and a forum of exchange between a large number of people from all countries of the world.

In response to the heart-wish of Kyabje Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche, the Chokling Tersar Foundation was established. It is in the spirit of wishing to protect and preserve one of the important contributions to the world's cultural heritage, as well as responding to a growing demand within North America, that the members of Chokling Tersar Foundation support the foundation through donations of effort, money and prayers.

Chokling Tersar literally means the 'new treasures of Chokgyur Lingpa' and owes it name to the great Tibetan Buddhist master of the 19th century. Chokgyur Lingpa lived from (1829-1870) and was regarded by the most reputable living masters of his time as one of the major tertons (revealer of hidden treasures) in Tibetan history. His teachings are widely practiced by both the Kagyu and Nyingma schools of Tibetan Buddhism.

The collection of treasures revealed by Chokgyur Lingpa together with its connected teachings are contained in the Chokling Tersar, a body of literature filling more than forty large volumes. In English translation each of these volumes would be between seven and eight hundred pages and the total would amount to approximately 30,000 pages. The connected teachings included in these forty volumes were written over the last 150 years, chiefly by his contemporaries Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo and Jamgon Kongtrul, as well as by the subsequent upholders of the lineage down until today.

Kangyur - the TripitakaThe Chokling Tersar literature is meant to be studied and practiced as an addition to the traditional canonical scriptures of Tibetan Buddhism. These traditional scriptures are found in the Kangyur and Tengyur, the written words of Buddha Shakyamuni and their commentaries by learned Indian Masters. These two collections occupy respectively 104 and 273 large volumes.

In these scriptures are found detailed instructions on how to take full advantage of and imbue human life with its fullest meaning. These revealed scriptures were concealed by the 9th century Buddhist saint Padmasambhava with the expressed wish to be uncovered at specific times in the future. Many of them contain predictions for those times and which particular spiritual practices would be most beneficial for the people of those times.

Anger/cancer link?

In another post Brian mentions a link between cancer and anger. I am 42 years young and have had cancer three times (breast cancer, melanoma and basil cell carcinoma). I do not feel like an angry person at all.I do know, however, that i worry too much. I wonder about this link with anger and if it in someways is just a way people "justify" a person getting cancer...you know...blame the victim? *Brian i am not saying that with any disrespect, honestly, just wondering in general. Or if there is a real link i would like to hear more information on the it. Can it be associated with worrying?

My breast cancer was most likely caused by the massive amount of hormones i was given as a 14 year old to regulate my cycle. My gyno brought that to my attention and believes that was the cause. Melanoma...not that uncommon for a light skinned red head living in Arizona even with sunscreen and the same with basil cell carcinoma.

I like to think of myself as a survivor...not an angry person :)

cancer, and death

i seem to be int he midst of a lot of dis-ease lately and ma not sure what thats about.
a former student has been in a coma since november. the docs think she got some kind of brain virus. i go to see her every week and when i went today shes not doing so good, appears to be deteriorating. the sense i got was that she no longer has need of her body. while i get it from a spiritual perspective its still hard to watch. she is not yet 50 and has an 11 year old son.
while i was on the way to the hospital i got a call from another friend, whio has someone close to her who has brain cancer and the docs think she might well not make it through the weekend. she has 2 small children.
and i just got a call that a friend of mine from church who i sat with last year during her cervical cancer surgery has now been diagnosed with an aggressive malonoma and the docs dont know what to do with it.
it feels like an enormous thing to hold, all of this. i know its not mine alone to hold, i get that, yet people are coming to me for comfort and sometimes i guess i question whether im up to the task.
good to have this forum where i can plop this for a few minutes and rest.

$300 Massage Studio in San Fran

Hope you don't mind the advertisement style posting...

I have a sweet little private studio in the Mission that I need to share with one other practitioner. It's located in the ActivSpace building at 18th and Folsom....a creative arts/healing community building of fine artists and bodyworkers....good vibes all around. 24 hour access and secured building with buzzer system.

Everything is provided except your own linens and creme/oil. There is a sink in the room, but no shower. There is a great courtyard/patio that's nice to chill out between clients...or spend your time visiting other artists and see what they are making!

I'm open to sharing with any other similar practitioner (energy worker, holistic therapist, hypnotherapist, massage therapist), but the space isn't conducive to doing work that involves bringing in lots of equipment (like esthetics) or that creates possibility for a messy space (like salt scrubs).

TERMS:
The room is yours every TUESDAY, THURSDAY, and SATURDAY. Other hours can be available, but those days are all yours.
Rent is $300 per month.
Deposit is $300 for damage and security.
Month-to-month sublet that can be terminated by either party with 30 days notice.

Maintenance of skin flexibility

The injury: a gouge of flesh taken off of my kneecap with a rotary grinding tool.

The problem: it should heal ok, but since it's closing a wound that is almost an inch across that goes right through the flesh, when it heals I'm going to be short on skin on a major joint. Which could be pretty uncomfortable.

Like reopening when I do yoga, or stretching the skin in a painful way. Not to mention the scar factor, it's going to look kinda nasty as is, I don't really want a starburst of rough tissue that'll freak out small children at the beach....

The question: oils, dietary additives, etc that will speed up the stretching/healing of the skin in the area. I like being able to dance without having to worry about ripping open my hide when I flex my knees.

For instance, if anyone knows of effective oils/lotions that women use to avoid stretch marks during pregnance, they'd probably help.

This isn't as esoteric as many of the topics in this tribe, but it definitely counts as healing arts. What the heck, sometimes the mundane stuff is just as miraculous as big time energy healings (and yes, I'm channelling white light into it to speed the process, the doctor today was surprised at how fast it has started to close)....

I need Help!

Hello Friends,

For two weeks now I have been suffering from an acute migraine at the back of my head. I went into hospital for tests and a CAT scan which thankfully didn't show up anything sinister (and reassured me that I actually have a brain! LOL).
However, they couldn't do anything about the pain. They gave me 2 different types of painkiller, one of which worsened the problem and had me being sick all day. A friend on Tribe suggested Turmeric, which has lessened the pain, but hasn't got rid of it.

Any tips or suggestions would be helpful, as I can't take much more of this permanent migraine.

Recently I have heard about the healing powers of Ayawaska through friends, old and new both. I'm finding it somewhat fascinating that there is such a concentration of this information being presented to me currently, which, naturally, makes me curious.

I'd appreciate any information you can share with me on this subject. I know very little, aside from the boiling of the brew, the chemical reaction process of plants used, the "cleansing" of the digestive tracts (vomiting), sayings that it has potential healing powers for everything from cancer to depression.... the hallucinogenic as a tool to free yourself to a greater understanding of the purpose all things..... the connection to the dead and what we can learn from them, etc.

Also, can anyone explain the "drug" affect and consequence; Is it considered a legal substance in the U.S.? And how would that be determined through testing?

I'd appreciate any input, positive or negative, of your personal experiences, as I'm really just in the process of determining how this could potentially be used for powerful positive healing purposes.

Carl Gustav Jung (1875–1961) was a Swiss psychiatrist who developed the field of analytical psychology and introduced the concept of archetypes of consciousness being "innate universal psychic dispositions that form the substrate from which the basic themes of human life emerge. Being universal and innate, their influence can be detected in the form of myths, symbols, rituals and instincts of human beings. Archetypes are components of the collective unconscious and serve to organize, direct and inform human thought and behaviour. ...archetypes heavily influence the human life cycle, propelling a neurologically hard-wired sequence which he called the stages of life. Each stage is mediated through a new set of archetypal imperatives which seek fulfillment in action."[1]

Centuries before Jung, the Maya introduced the very similar concept of Archetypes of Divine Consciousness. (According to the Maya, there are 20 of them.) Likewise, these Archetypes form the substrate from which individual Divine Consciousness emerges. Also being components of the collective unconscious, the Maya-identified Archetypes organize, direct and engender Divine thought and behavior in the human experience, in stages, over the course of days, months, years, ...millennia. Codex Alimentarius - Control of all Food, Natural Products, etc Globally by 2009

Codex Alimentarius” means “food rules” in Latin. The organization was born in 1962 when the UN established the Codex Alimentarius Commission (CAC) as a “Trade Commission”. It was created to regulate, and thus control, every aspect of how food and nutritional supplements are produced and sold to the consumer. It is solely about trade and the profits of multi-national corporations.

The more natural health products people use, the fewer drugs they use. Millions are turning to natural health. Big Pharma fears this as it would diminish profits. Codex is designed to protect Big Pharma profits by eliminating natural health products and treatments. Health food stores and wellness companies would be hit hard.

Codex is unscientific because it classifies nutrients as toxins and uses “Risk Assessment” to set ultra low so-called “safe upper limits” for them. Risk Assessment is a branch of Toxicology, the science for assessing toxins. The proper science for assessing nutrients is Biochemistry. Codex does not use Biochemistry.

Codex is based on the Napoleonic Code, dating back to Bonaparte. Under this code, anything not explicitly permitted is automatically forbidden. Under Common Law (our system), something does not have to be explicitly permitted to be legal. The tyrannical Napoleonic Code allows the banning of natural health options by default.

Codex will go into global effect on December 31, 2009, unless we, the People, take action and avert it. Right now, we are like a frog boiled slowly, the heat raised gradually so we won’t jump out of the water. The media is used to make us believe that Codex is about “consumer protection”. Part of the media strategy is to tarnish the image of natural health options, through for-hire studies.

One-time defenders of supplements and nutritional products, such as the National Nutritional Foods Association (NNFA) and Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN), have fallen prey to new pharmaceutical members and are spreading disinformation saying that Codex is “consumer protection”. Their boards used to be run by health freedom fighters.

The U.S. has a powerful legal tool for health freedom: the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act (DSHEA), passed in 1994 after massive grass-roots action. DSHEA scientifically classifies nutritional supplements as food and prevents dosage restrictions; Codex unscientifically classifies them as toxins and sets ultra-low doses. The VMG violates U.S. law because it violates DSHEA. We must unite to protect DSHEA, our best legal defense against Codex.

The pharmaceutical industry works through irresponsible/corrupt politicians to do their bidding. The path to institute Codex in America is to “influence” Congress to pass laws friendly to drugs and unfriendly to nutritional supplements, so that slowly everyone comes to believe that nutrients are “dangerous”, and drugs are “proper medicine”. Susan Davis (D, CA) and other politicians are helping Big Pharma by supporting bills designed to destroy DSHEA.

Codex Alimentarius Commission (CAC) has two committees which impact nutrition.

One of them, the “Codex Committee on Nutrition and Foods for Special Dietary Uses” (CCNFSDU), is chaired by Dr. Rolf Grossklaus, a physician who believes that nutrition has no role in health. This is the “top-guy” for Codex nutritional policy, and he has stated that “nutrition is not relevant to health”.

As unbelievable as it may sound, Dr. Grossklaus actually declared nutrients to be toxins in 1994 and instituted the use of toxicology (Risk Assessment) to prevent nutrients from having any impact on humans who take supplements! It is worth mentioning that Dr. Grossklaus happens to own the Risk Assessment company advising CCNFSDU and Codex on this issue. This company makes money when its toxicology services are used for the “assessment” of nutrients. Here in the U.S. we call that a “conflict of interest”.

Codex is made up of thousands of standards and guidelines. One of them, the Vitamin and Mineral Guideline (VMG), is designed to permit only ultra low doses of vitamins and minerals (and make clinically effective nutrients illegal). How can the VMG restrict dosages of vitamins and minerals? By using Risk Assessment (toxicology) to assess nutrients.

While Risk Assessment is a legitimate science (it is a branch of toxicology), it is the wrong science for assessing nutrients! In fact, in this context, it is actually junk science. Biochemistry, the science of life processes, is the correct science for assessing nutrients. Codex Alimentarius treats nutrients as toxins, which is literally insane.

Nutrients are not toxins - they are essential for life!!

I currently live in Marin county and am so far trying to decide between Alive & Well (Institute of Conscious Bodywork) and Diamond Light School of Healing and Massage, which are both located in Marin county.

This is a BIG step in the right direction for health care in the USA! It has been no secret, but no one was talking about it since the monetary benefits that many doctors are receiving from these companies made this unlikely. I mean - if you were the type to only care about money (which is why many become doctors in the first place), wouldn't you want a free trip to Cancun by putting other people on basically unproven and even harmful chemical substances?

What is even more awesome is that this was broadcast on the same day on the morning edition of Talk Radio's "Paul Harvey" show, so this information has come to the attention of many Americans today!

I am happy to see that some doctors do in fact have some integrity. This may also be an opening for safer alternative methods to be approved by the AMA for doctors to use and not feel like they will have their medical licensing taken away if they recommend a proven herbal remedy (as an example) instead of the new designer drugs of the day. I hope this allows them the courage to step forward now that the door has been opened!

We can help by showing this to our medical providers (if you have those) this article, and telling them about this, they can maybe take additional steps as doctors to become more able to practice alternative and natural techniques without risking their careers. Also, tell your friends in any way you can, so that they can demand alternative therapies be implemented or they will go elsewhere now that this article ought to free up other practitioners to use these methods. This also provides some validation for Alternative practitioners who have known about these dangers all along. Health care freedom (and responsibility) is up to all of us - please spread the message!

Acupressure vs. Jin Shin Jyutsu

I've been reading through Alice Burmeister's "Touch of Healing" which explains the art of Jin Shin Jyutsu and have found an incredible amount of differences between this tradition and what is taught in TCM.

I graduated the Acupressure Institute with over 1000 hours and have been practicing for over 13 years now and have always had great results applying TCM. I'm concerned about getting unhelpful or even harmful results applying JSJ since many of the Flows flow in opposite directions.

Despite my success with TCM over the years, I've always remained curious if it's a complete art & science or if there is more that could be added to it or even if some aspects or details of it are wrong altogether.

Overall, I wonder if the results from this or any tradition are simply due to *Intention* and thus that it doesn't ultimately matter what style one uses so long as one believes what they're doing will produce the desired results.

The Legend of His Holiness Paya Halin, the Story of the Forest Monk Martial Systems

A. General Background
Every major religous tradition has extensive records of monks, priests and holy men who ventured into the wilderness to find answers to the mysteries of life.

Ancient Prophets
In the judeo-Christian tradition, prophets such as Abraham, Moses, Jesus and many others went into the mountains alone to seek union with God. They fasted, prayed and meditated for many days, weeks and even months. They endured hunger, thirst, cold, heat, exhaustion and many other stresses to seek God. In the Muslim tradition the prophet Mohammed and Sufis led ascetic lives in the wilderness to find and to commute with God. Similarly in Asia, Hindu, Taoist, Shinto, Bhuddist, and Shaman priests and monks ventured into the jungles or forested mountains to find answers to the mysteries of the universe, the meaning of life and death, the spirit world and other philosophical questions.

B. Hermits and Forest Monks
For centeries, forest monks and hermits traveled and lived in the wilderness in search for meaning.

Dangers in the Wilderness
Many died from starvation, disease, over exposure and natural disaters (such as earthqaukes, volcanoes, floods, fire, from lightning storms, etc). Some were killed by wild animals (such as tigers, leopards, wolves, wild dogs, snakes, insects, etc). Others were attacked by hostile tribes living in the jungle. Some went mad. It was extremely dangerous to live alone in the jungle, yet some survived to share their experiences.

C. The Legend of Paya Halin
The following is a story of one of the famous forest monks of ancient Burma in the 9th century AD.

Nameless Boy
One nameless boy was treated for his wounds at the Halin Monastery in north central Burma. He had lost his family, friends and home during one many regional wars. His village also was destoyed. After he recovered from his wounds hebecame a monk to deal with his emotions of grief, anger and fear, and to search for inner peace.
He wasan extremely quiet boy, but was ver diligent and hard working. He studied Dharma, showed his total devotion to the Sangha and found refuge in the Buddha.

Ordination
After many years of hard work, he finally recieved ordination around the age of 25. At this time invaders came again and attacked the region. The Halin Monastery was destroyed. The abbot and several monks were killed. Many fled into the mountains.
This young nameless monk survived by hiding in the caves with novice monks. He decided to take on the Buddhist name 'Paya Halin' in honor of the monastery, which had cared for him during his time of need. earlier in his youth, the war had destoyed his family. Now, it had destoyed his monastery which had given hime refuge. He continued to wrestle with his grief, fear and anger.

Into the Wilderness
He decided to become a hemit and wandered away from the war torn region into the jungle of Manipura (northern border of India and Burma). He had little or no knowledge of jungle craft. He learned to survive through trial and error and with the help of many friendly villagers.
He did not stay in one place long. He travelled to the thick wooded regions of southern Tibe, the forest covered mountain ranges of northeastern India and the deep jungle valleys and hills of northern Burma.

D. Transformation of a Hermit
After living in the jungle for many years, the monk Paya Halin did not look like a monk anymore.

Physical Transformation
His hair had grown long and become matted. His face had become gaunt and rugged. His robe was worn and torn by daily work and the color faded. His body was lean and wiry. His skin was dark and brown from the sun, rain and wind.
His whole physical being had been transformed. His face could still show serenity and sorrow, but his voice was thick and harsh.His body had become rugged. His posture and gait had also changed. VIllagers who did not know about his existence were threatened or frightened by his physical appearance.

Survival Tools
The attire of Paya Halin consisted of his ragged discolored robe, short dha (sword), bamboo staff,long rope, river stones, bamboo cantiene, bamboo cup, cotton bag, straw mat and bamboo slippers.

Visiting Remote Villages
During his long and arduous journey, he had visited many villages in the jungles of Tibet, India and Burma.Their followers of many belief systems in these villages including Hinduism, Brahnmanism, Tantricism, Buddhism, Mysticism, Spiritualism, Shamanism and Animism among others.

Hostile Villages
The villagers, who embraced animistic traditions, did not recieve him well. They were threatened by his strange appearance. Children ran away in terror. Women screamed in fright and called the men for help. The men picked up swords, spears and sticks to defend the village and drove him away. He had to depart in haste to avoid injuries and death.

Friendly Villages
However some villages openly welcomed him, fed him, and attended to him with kindness. They shared their knowledg of jungle crafts and survival and defensive skills. He shared with them the teachings of Buddha.

E. Basic Skill Development
The following list is a brief outline of skills he learned from the people who lived in the jungles of Burma, India and Tibet.
1. Survival Skills
Finding shelter, food and water

2. Healing Skills
Daily yoga practice to maintain health and endurance.
Herbal plants to prevent and restore from illness and cuts, and for body cleanliness and hygiene.
Structural manipulation to mend broken bones, dislocations and muscle stress.

3. Relational Skills
Taming or communicating with animals and people.
Understanding the environment and using the trees hills and streams.
Appeasing the jungle spirits (forest nats).

4. Cultivating Skills
Making tools from bamboo, vine and rocks.
Digging wells or irrigating water from streams.
Growing plants and fruits.

5. Spiritual Skills
Meditation (mantra and pranayama to achieve Samadhi)
Tantric ritual (to commune with dieties)
Nat ritual (to commune with the spirit world of nature)

6. Martial Skills
Protection from wild animals (without maiming or killing)
Protection from hostile tribesman (without maiming or killing)
Protection from demon spirits (without creating mortal enemies)

I have a friend that in on strict spiritual path, and has a noticeable amount of swelling under his right arm pit . . . he is 24, tall and muscular with 0 body fat . . . he has been encourage, but is reluctant to go to a doctor.

My questions/thoughts are more for my own training, so I wanted to get your feedback . . .
1. My first intuition was that the lymph nod was blocked, but the swelling in on the right . . .
2. There doesn't seem to be much pain, and it doesn't seem to be inflamed . . .
3. It is really more like a pocket of fluid, spongy like around a slightly firmer center . . . when I used a cool draining energy the swelling noticeable decreased.
4. Several people worked on him during an informal energy assessment this weekend . . . unaware of the problem, several people were drawn to this area, but all were drawn to his left side where they expressed a cool energy or lack of energy flow . . . I still wonder if it may be a block in the lymphatic system that is manifesting on the right side?
5. During both sessions the right swelling was relieved after the whole body was addressed . . . He is going through a lot of self imposed restrictions and disciplines (at a relatively young age), and his heart Chakra in often unbalanced . . .
6. Beside what has been mentioned, he is in relatively good health physically . . . emotionally he is quiet and calm, but extremely passionate, and his body will twitch in response to the physical touch until he is relaxed . . . I assume there are past emotional issue involved here . . .
