If you are thinking of getting a Deeksha Blessing please be careful and go to this website.
www.freewebs.com/dikshainf...ffects.htm

THERE IS DARKNESS TO THIS!!!

I am all for being open to experience enlightenment... I study qigong, shamanism, yoga etc.

Recently a few friends and I decided to get a Deeksha blessing. For all accounts it sounded like a great thing. A guru opens you to enlightenment literally puts his/her hands on your head and help you brain function in the same pattern as enlightened people. That through this you would obtain bliss and clarity.

THIS ENED UP BEING ONE OF THE MOST HARMFUL ENERGENTIC EXPERIENCES I HAVE HAD.

I went to the deeksha blessing and felt a strange energy which I ignored. I listened to the description from the deeksha... They started saying this was the ONLY true way to attain enlightenment... (That was a red flag) Then they followed it with saying that this would only enhance the other practices you do.... I felt like I should go but just couldn’t get up. My friend asked is there any negative side effect... they said no... Unless pure bliss could be considered negative. They just seemed to coming form a place of longing... Like they wanted so badly to be enlightened but were not there. Why I ignored my feelings and stayed... I will never know... I wish i had left.

They started the ceremony. Each deeksha cam and put there hands on my head. and drove energy into my crown chakra. I was open but felt like I might need to reflect their energy back. My friend felt the need to start saying prayers of protection. It ended with them thanking us for our heads!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They got strangely high from taking our pure energy!

After the Deeksha I felt a surge of sorrow, frustration and longing. I was completely disconnected from myself and my own divine energy. Through out the week the longing and fear began to sink in. I felt as thought my crown and heart chakra were blocked. (I usually have very open chakras) I touched base with my friend who had the ceremony and they were having this same experience. This deep fear and sorrow was taking over.... it was affecting all of us the same way.... Also I was Exhausted!!!!

I went to my qigong master, I briefly explained my experience. She helped me by doing a qigong practice that was geared at releasing this energy. She scanned me and saw major blockages in my heart and mostly on my crown..... She said the energy seemed to have come from a place of emotional longing not clear consciousness. After the practice I felt better like the energy was diffused but not gone. I searched the website and found many negative experiences... and the website I mentioned above talked about clairvoyants and Ammachi speaking out against this movement.

I talk to my friends and they were both suffering... Later in the week I took them all to my qigong master and we explained our experience in depth... The experience concerned my qigong master... NO ONE SHOULD EVER MESS WITH YOU CROWN CHAKRA! She helped us through a very powerful qigong exercise, which was able to truly clear the energy from our heads. We all felt better. I feel I am almost healed from this experience.... My friends are feeling much better as well. The qigong helped immensely....Still I feel a little of their energy trying to hold on... I won’t let it... My friends are doing better but still haveing to fight it. The Qigong is really helping. I think accupunture may help as well.

Ammachi's diksha comments

June 23, 2006

"Last November Ammachi (the hugging saint), who never says anything negative about other teachers, gurus, said the 21 day claim and other information and actions by A&B were not to be believed, and even dangerous. She said she had to "rewire" someone who had taken the dikshas. I was shocked that she announced so strongly about this. From then on, I let it go.

Another clairvoyant writes....

"It comes down to the acknowledgement that the whole chakra-system is blocked by it. First the diksha shuts off the crown-chakra. That causes loss of your inner connection with your higher self. You get a feeling as if you are a witness, but instead there comes a kind of lameness in you, a dangerous distance from feelings, including a shut down of your heart-chakra.

Second: your ego is covered, not dissolved. In that place a so called 'spiritual ego' comes in. That causes you to surrender to the 'works' of A&B. You become an instrument for their movement. An artificial oneness-feeling is created, which shuts you off from all that had your interest before. You have lost the connection with your own inner source, with who you really are. You body is only an empty vessel for A&B. It is not light that comes in you, but darkness.

That's what these women discovered. Maybe you recognize this? The danger is that since one gets a diksha, one can be reached by distance-diskhas, even involuntarily. In order to get out of this system, especially for a person like you, who was so much involved, one needs to disconnect completely on an energetic level.

According to several people who have been to India, the so called Bhagavan has also in various ways implied the following: We human beings are just septic tanks, filled with garbage. We have to be emptied of the garbage, through deekshas, so that "enlightened beings" can step in and take over our bodies."

JUST PLEASE BE CAREFULL!

Having read this comment that has been posted on various websites on the internet, I became very concerned. I am a Deeksha giver myself, but I am also a scientist by heart. I don't just take things at face value nor am I willing to deny something because I practice it. I research things for myself and arrive at my own conclusions. I own a meditation and healing center where I give Deeksha and offer many other healing modalities, so I had to find out for myself whether this statement was true. One because Ammachi is one of my gurus, and I trust my Divine Mother, and two because I will never transmit an energy that could bring harm to anyone. It is against everything I stand for. If I found this statement to be true. I would immediately stop giving Deeksha. So I decided to go straight to the source and contact MA center in San Ramon (this is the headquarters for Ammachi's organization in the USA). I spoke to a resident there and she said she had never heard Ammachi say this. But she advised me to email Swami Dayamrita Chaitanya, one of the head monks. She said that if Ammachi had said this, he would definitely know about it. He is the monk who sits next to Ammachi and translates everything she says to the public.

    My email was:
"Recently I found another organization called the Oneness Movement (from southern India) whose mission they say is to assist the world in finding enlightenment through a transmission called the Oneness Deeksha or Oneness Blessing. This transmission is given by the devotees of the gurus Amma & Bhagavan, after completing a 21 day program in India.

In any case, I started receiving these Oneness Deeksha transmissions to assist me on my spiritual path. Since then, I have been having very profound experiences of bliss and feel very connected with Divine Mother's grace. However, recently a friend of mine told me that he read on the internet that Ammachi publicly announced that Amma & Bhagavan were not to be believed and that the Deeksha is dangerous.

Swamiji, would you please let me know if this is true. Did Amma really say this herself or is this just a rumor? I certainly would not want to keep receiving something that Amma herself is warning us about!"

    His response was:

"Namah Sivaya, Sorry for the delay. I have not heard anything specific regarding the people whom you are talking about. Namah Sivaya, Dayamrita"

    My conclusion:

If the residents at the MA center haven't heard this and the main monk who is around Amma all the time hasn't heard this either, then I have to conclude that this is just a rumor until proven to me otherwise. I attend all of Amma’s Darshans, and I myself have never heard Ammachi say this. I also took the time to ask Sri Karunamayi, another Divine Mother saint from India about Amma & Bhagavan, and she said,"Amma & Bhagavan are very good people my son."

I don't know who posted this on the internet and what their source is, but I do know that unfortunate rumors do spread quickly. But please don't take my words at face value either. I am encouraging you to do your own research, ask Ammachi yourself. For those of you who question my sources (and you should!), I would be glad to forward the email that Swamiji sent me as proof.

As for my own experience, Deeksha and the grace of Amma & Bhagavan have been extremely profound in my life. I experience bliss and love unlike anything I have ever experienced before. And it only gets more beautiful with time. I give Deeksha at my center every day, and people have the most beautiful experiences. As a healer who has studied far and wide with most of the world-renowned healers, my experience with Deeksha has been nothing but beautiful and loving. But this is just my experience.

Do people experience sadness or anger? Sometimes. But this is true of every healing modality I have ever studied or been initiated into, including Reiki. I see this at Ammachi's all the time too when she hugs people. This isn't darkness being put into us. This is a clearing of the pain already within us. And the more Light shines upon our hearts, the more it clears out. What is important to note, is that in the end, the people I have worked with have become free of painful memories, traumas, and negative thought forms. These emotional releases are important in some people. As healers, we should take responsibility to assist the client through this transition.

I am not posting this because I am a Deeksha giver. I am posting this to give you an alternative view based on the results of my research and through my personal experience. Had MA center or my experiences confirmed the opposite I would have posted this too.

May the Truth always prevail. No matter what it is.
    • My two cents

I do not give deeksha, but I have had it done and in general I believe that it is a beautiful and powerful transmission of spiritual consciousness/energy.

However, it is clear to me that Amma & Bhagavan are not, as they claim, avatars. They both make the claim way too much, they work together (which avatars don't generally do), and if you look you can see that Amma carries herself so as to give off the air of what she thinks an avatar would be like. Looking at someone like Ammachi, Mother Meera, or Mother Karunamayi, they carry themselves as they are, without putting on the show that Amma & Bhagavan do. Also, if you are sensitive enough, you can feel the sense of "I"-ness coming from both of them, which you would never feel from an avatar.

Because they claim to be avatars, and to me they clearly are not, I don't feel I can trust anything they say or do. I don't think they're bad intentioned, I think they just romanticize their own level of spiritual attainment, and confuse the spiritual power that they obviously have with the omnipotence that true avatars have. But that sort of lack of clarity can be a problem for their followers, especially since they all seem to believe in the divinity of their gurus.

      Anywhoo, that's my two cents...

Love the comments on the status of Indian global mystics.

I enjoyed these debates on many a train ride through India-kind of like when your a kid and try to figure out if King King could Kill Superman and if Godzilla could beat up Batman and Robin.

Fact is, the avatar status is in the eye of the beholder. There are many bogi yogi's out there and they are generally transparent to the slightly aware.

As for Deeksha-more harm than good. Reiki is gentle. Deeksha is not. No one can heal you and vault you into enlightenment, you heal yourself with help from trusted healers.

Pretty soon the Deeksha possey will burn out and a new healing transmission will become in vogue, lets hope its more along the Reiki lines and not the Deeksha lines.

P.s. I think Ammachi could take godzilla with pure ahisma followed by a big hug. Just my opinion.

A local New Age store offers these once a week. The description made me more than a bit twitchy, and I decided to do some research.

I'm a Reiki practioner amd teacher, and between this and other websites it doesn't sound like anything I really need; in fact it sounds like it would just get in the way.

Thanks for confirming the intuitive sense I was getting about this practice.
